With glacial melt and sea level rise, the Arctic is arriving on coastlines all over the world. Drawing from multiple sites of field research globally, I highlight how climate change is creating novel forms of connectivity and relationships, often in surprising ways, as we collectively undergo massive changes to the earth system as well as our local environments. Are there ways to build alliances for better environmental futures? In this presentation I offer a hopeful “yes” even in times of climate catastrophe.
